An educator before launching his own training and development company, in 1977, he's served as a full time administrative consultant in the Palo Alto Unified School District, as well as, Coordinator of Curriculum and Staff Development in the Hayward Unified School District. He holds a Master's Degree in Counseling Psychology from California State University at Hayward and was the founder and director of the American Institute for Stress Management in Oakland, California.
